Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah

You have to see it and experience it to believe it! For 10 days leading up to Easter Sunday each year, an amazing number of people from all over the world meet in Moab for the 4X4 adventure of a life time!

It’s a tradition that started in 1967 with one trail – there are now about 50 total trails in the Moab area – and this year there will be somewhere around 2000 four wheel drive rigs all the way from bone stock to built from the ground up rock crawlers enjoying a variety of trails from a “Sunday drive” to trails where the boulders are bigger than the vehicles conquering them.
One of the “musts” is booking your accommodations early! There are many who book the same rooms or camping spots from year to year. Pretty much every place is full long before the festivities start, so if you want to go, plan to book early!
Jeep Safari is run by the Red Rock Four Wheelers, the local 4X4 club, and they hold a lottery each year to determine who gets to go on which trails which days! They send out a 100 page newspaper in early January each year with the schedule of dates and trails and the number of rigs allowed on each adventure. There are deadlines to be met so you have to pay attention.

I have attended the Safari for a number of years and for “Jeepers” like me it never gets old. My 4X4 club, the Lone Peak 4 Wheelers, goes as a group to Moab 2-3 times a year including Jeep Safari, and one of our members, Marlin and Julia Sharp are official trail leaders with the Safari.
Moab has had SO MUCH snow this year – some of our club went down in late February and were unable to do any of the trails because of the amount of snow! So hopefully most or all of that will be melted by now and the Jeep Safari will go on! You just never know what kind of Spring weather you might encounter so you have to go prepared for both heat and cold!

It is great fun and is an event that has to be experienced to be believed!!

Are You Letting Your Lizard Brain Get in the Way of Your Network Marketing Success?

Positioning You To Shine Online

By AnnaLaura Brown–3-19-10

Do you have a lizard brain? The reality is that everyone has one although people who are very successful have learned to silence theirs. If you have read Seth Godin’s new book, Linchpin then you will have a really good idea of what I am talking about when I say lizard brain. In any case, the lizard brain is the part of your brain, your belief and your attitude that lets fear get in the way. It’s the part of you that procrastinates or that avoids doing something you know you need to do because well it’s just easier not to do it. The lizard in you is also the part of you that shows up at the last moment right when you are ready to experience a breakthrough or something really great in your business. It’s your internal resistance that says: I can’t or I’ll try or I’m afraid.

So what can you do if you feel like your lizard brain is getting in the way of your network marketing success?

1. Read or listen to a powerful motivational book or audio and start thinking about all of the reasons why you really need to go ahead and do what you know you need to do.

2. Yell out loud, enough and tell the lizard brain to get out of the way and then do it anyway.

3. Make a list of all of the benefits and what you know you will get if you go ahead and act anyway.

4. Practice makes perfect so keep doing it and doing it and you will improve over time and the fear will go away.

What else have you done to silence the lizard brain within you?

Fun in the San Rafael Swell

March 16, 2010 by J.B. Washburn

On Saturday the 13th of March, the Lone Peak 4 Wheelers held their monthly trail ride. We had 8 Jeeps and about 20 people total. Our chosen ride for this month was the Devil’s Race Track trail in the San Rafael Swell. We had heard stories about how much snow there was and were not sure how far we would make it, but the trip was on!

We met at the Sinclair gas station on the south side of Price, Utah at 8:30 AM and at 9:00 AM we headed south to Ferron. There we turned east and then south and decided we would stop and “air down” while we were still on dry roads!

Airing down is simply the process of letting some of the air out of the tires for a smoother ride and more traction. How much you go down depends on your rig and tire size as well as personal preference. I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee with 33 X 12.50 X 15 tires and I air down to 15 pounds for most off-road adventures. So with everyone aired down, we headed southeast into the Swell. We had decided we would go past the turn-off to the Devil’s Race Track and go to Slipper Arch which is a great spot for lunch. We were pushing a lot of snow to get there, but finally did with my Jeep a little over heated. As I was the trail leader, I did most of the pushing!

So there we were at Slipper Arch – lunch time – great temperature plus blue sky and sunshine! By the time we finished eating, it was getting cloudy and several degrees cooler.

After lunch we headed back to the Devil’s Race Track turnoff and the trail immediately heads up a steep hill with a switch back and there was easily 8-12 inches of snow. It was a struggle and we had to winch a couple of the Jeeps, but we finally got everyone up. We decided we would take turns leading and pushing the snow so no one vehicle would get too hot!

After a long tough struggle we arrived at what is called the Devil’s Spine (or Backbone). After doing quite a bit of hiking and discussing, we determined that the time had come to turn around. The Spine get very narrow and very technical and there is just no room for error and it was getting VERY late. A couple of us decided to do the “little” obstacle at the beginning of the Spine – just down and back up!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kexgHlsRGOc

Then we headed back with 8 of the muddiest Jeeps you could imagine! I finally got back home around 10:30 PM and several of our group had further to drive than I did. We have pictures and videos as well as great memories of our great adventure. We all agreed that it might be our only chance to see the Swell under those conditions. They say thereare places that have 2 feet of snow that haven’t seen snow in more than 20 years!

Free Internet Marketing Techniques - Learn How To Use Them and Build Massive Wealth!

Author: Mavis Nong on March 15th, 2010
Article Source: http://www.attractionmarketingonline.com/free-internet-marketing-techniques-learn-how-to-use-them-and-build-massive-wealth/

If you have a network marketing business, your primary goal should be to generate leads and make sales, otherwise you will not be in business for long. If you are serious about building a real long-term business, then you will need to stay away from the traditional marketing methods as they are not effective in this internet age. The internet is very powerful and can truly propel your business to the new levels, if used properly. So, the sooner you embrace the power of internet marketing, the easier it would be for you to ignite your business and rise to the top!

The internet is HUGE, it’s full of top income earners as well as “newbie” marketers – all marketing their businesses. So, you will need to use the effective internet marketing techniques so that you can be visible online, get endless leads and be found by your prospects and soon-to-be customers.

There are numerous internet marketing techniques out there – free, low-cost and paid. If you are a new internet marketer, you will feel overwhelmed not knowing which ones to use. You don’t need to master and use them all – the key is to find what works best for you.

It is common knowledge that the top income earners in this industry attribute the large part of their success to using pay per click advertising, especially Google with a great deal of traffic. It has to be said that this is the most powerful marketing method but it’s very expensive and it can suck your bank account dry if you don’t know what you’re doing. And with the current Google changes, the slaps and the account suspensions, there has never been a better time to use the free internet marketing techniques than now.

So, which ones should you use? You will need to decide on a couple of the free internet marketing techniques that match your personality, skills and time. Focus on these until you can master them, then you can add others to your marketing asernal.

Here are the top free internet marketing techniques:

1) Video marketing is very powerful as the search engines love video content and will rank your videos high in the organic (free) results. This marketing technique gives you the opportunity to earn your prospects’ trust as they can see and hear you providing valuable content. You should use the relevant keywords that people are searching on in order to attract massive traffic to your business.

2) Press releases are also favored by the search engines and can show up in the organic (free) results depending on the keywords used. They are different from articles which are about opinions and information, as they announce events. This marketing method can bring you laser-targeted prospects as people reading them are interested in a business opportunity.

3) Blogging gives you the opportunity to share your personal life, interests, business and any other information with your readers. A blog is your hub which will allow your prospects to get to know you better as people like to do business with those they like and trust. Your content can also show up in the search engines results for the keywords that you have used so that your prospects can find you.

4) Article marketing has become popular today than ever before. It’s a very effective way to drive high quality traffic to your business, if it’s executed properly. You can use this marketing strategy to establish yourself as a leader and the expert in the industry and build trust with your readers. Again, you will need to use the relevant keywords so that your content can appear in the search engines results and be found by your prospects.

5) Social media marketing is now a great way to generate exposure for your business. You need to take full advantage of this powerful media in order to attract free traffic to your business. A word of caution though: NEVER lead with your business. Focus on giving value, building relationships and trust. When you do that people will follow you, interested in what you have to offer.

So, which internet marketing methods have you decided on?… Now get back to work!

Are you tired of losing money and not getting any results in your business? Isn’t it time you got training on the free internet marketing techniques that you can use to build a profitable business?

Online Home Based Business - How to Get it Right!

March 12th, 2010 | Author: Mavis Nong
Article Source: http://www.attractionmarketingonline.com/online-home-based-business-how-to-get-it-right/

Working from home is great for those who want some more freedom over how and when they work. It is not a perfect fit for just anyone, as it takes a certain kind of person who can be a self starter and still get the job done in their own time without a boss present to keep them focused on the task at hand. If you have the qualities necessary to succeed in starting your own online home based business then it will offer you many benefits. For starters, you are your own boss and you will decide how things are done. Plus the work day starts when you want it to start, not when someone else tells you to show up for work.

Now, before you go off and start searching around on the internet for online home based business opportunities, you need to have a clear vision of what you want your business to become. A positive mindset is critical to the success of your business. Success starts with a decision that you’re successful. You have to decide that quitting is not an option, no matter what happens. When you have made that decision, then you need to take specific action steps towards reaching your goals. Then it would only be a matter of time before you see your desired results.

You will then need to search for an online home based business which ticks all the right boxes:

* provides cutting-edge online marketing solutions,
* teaches effective marketing strategies,
* provides full training, resources and support,
* provides personal mentoring and coaching,
* has a lucrative compensation plan,
* promotes products that are high in demand.

Without these features, it would be harder to build a successful online home based business. You will need an internet marketing education platform so that you can learn how to build your business the right way. And it’s important to implement what you learn until you become good at it.

When you have a burning desire to succeed, you will need to take massive action in order to achieve the goals you have set. All successful entrepreneurs I know of, attribute their success to taking massive action. Even the smallest of actions carried out daily can contribute to your success. Don’t make excuses as they are for people who are content with their mediocre lives, slaving for someone else just to pay their bills. Engage in daily activities that will get you closer to reaching your goals. It’s so easy to be busy with the activities that are not producing income.

Focus is the key if you want to achieve your goals and be successful. Without focus, you will find yourself all over the place trying different things and seeing no results. There are new systems and new opportunities coming up all the time. So once you have decided on a business, focus on it and avoid distractions. Jumping ships and becoming a serial entrepreneur, is not recommended until you are well-established and have realized the results you’re looking for.

Also, you don’t need to master all the marketing methods available. Decide on a couple of marketing strategies that match your interests, skills, budget as well as time and focus on them until you master them. Then you can add other methods to your marketing arsenal.

Have you ever wondered why many new online home based business entrepreneurs get frustrated and quit within their first three months or so? In most cases, they are drawn to the hype that it would be easy to make money and when that doesn’t happen, they give up. Patience and persistence are very important if you want to succeed in your business. It does take hard work, commitment, dedication, focus, a burning desire and time to create a successful and profitable business. So, you need to believe in yourself, find what’s working for you, continue doing more of it then you will eventually see the results you desire. DON’T quit – success should be your only option!

In today’s unstable economy, more and more people are looking for online business opportunities… Are YOU one of them? To learn exactly how you can succeed with your online business, visit the Online Home Based Business training and education site now.

Successful Selling Strategies

The first attribute of a successful selling strategy is a website that provides information about the products and the service they are providing. The advantage of that is we can sell those products and services online. Drawing traffic to the website is of paramount importance but that is a whole other article! Selling is a talent to be cultivated. It requires a lot of understanding to find what the customer is looking for and then fulfilling his needs.

It is very important to get the complete attention of the reader. The content of the message should be make the reader think. This can be achieved by using power words, along with color and visuals. Once their attention is grabbed, it should be retained till the end of the message. The customer should be prompted to take some action and their involvement should be sought. They can be made to sign up for newsletters or can be made to take the survey by visiting the company’s website.
The consumer should be convinced to buy the product. All the features of the company should be specified, with the more relevant ones on the top. They should be explained logically through these points how the products will fulfill their needs or solve their problems. It does only by convincing the customer about this will motivate them to buy the product. They should be made to understand what wonders the product can do to him. Strong emotional words should be included in the sentence. The customer should either fear the loss of the product if he doesn’t buy it in time or he should be given the greed of the advantages the product can provide. These reasons will create an emotional impulse and will make them think that they have no other option to buy it. They will have a logical reason to make the purchase. The emotions of the buyer should be manipulated with words.

Something like ‘limited edition’ or ‘limited time offer’ will create a sense of urgency. The customer thinks that he should get this product somehow. It’s nice to have sales often, especially to clear out old inventory in the name of some offer. If a service or membership is involved, a free “trial period” of a number of days or weeks will very often motivate the looker to become a client/customer.

Always hold seasonal sales and offers. Since all the competitors will be giving out different offers to attract customers, it’s a good point to have one, too. But it should be remembered to not to imitate anyone. Only a unique offer will make the customers not go to the competitors’. Once in a while offer free shipping offer also works. A condition like if a customer spends particular amount of money, all items will be shipped for free. This is another attractive deal which will surely tempt the customer. Thanks to search engines and online stores anything can be purchased from the comfort of the home. Give away free sample to the customers or keep a pre-sale price for introductory products. The customers won’t think twice to spend a little money to try something new.

The ending of the sales message is where most people mess it up. The whole effort will be wasted if the customer has second thoughts. He should be convinced, by a call to action, to buy the product/service till the very end. The content should be arranged with care. The key is to tell the customer what to do exactly after he finishes reading the matter, like ‘Grab the golden opportunity now’ or ‘pick up the phone and dial the number right now’, etc. A strong call-to-action is the key. Specific instructions of what to do next will get them moving in the right direction. Do not include links or short advertisement of other products or services. This will shift the focus of the reader and he might have second thoughts. A list of the existing customers should be maintained and from time to time special offers should be mailed to them. So basically the whole idea is to influence the mind of the customer until he buys a product.

How to Make a Living as an Affiliate

by Matt LaClear
Article Source: http://victoryonlineuniversity.ning.com/profiles/blogs/how-to-make-a-living-as-an?xg_source=shorten_twitter

As the affiliate marketing industry continues to evolve, the question arises whether it still possible to make a living as an affiliate. The answer is a resounding yes. Affiliate marketing is alive and well, and still a very viable way to make a living. Here are a few ideas to make a living as an affiliate.

#1 Do your research. The best way to achieve success is to find a niche market that is in demand. This is going to probably take a bit of time, patience and careful research. There are many still available, so don’t despair. Diligence and creative brainstorming sessions will get you exactly what you’re looking for.

#2 Make it easy on yourself. Choose products and services to represent that are top notch. Look for companies that offer:

o Sales pages that convert
o Quality products and/or services
o Good commission percentages
o Lifetime cookies
o Frequent payment plans (and that pay on time)
o Incentives and bonuses
o Promotions and marketing tools for affiliates to use

#3 Build a content foundation. Content is the single most important tool you have as an affiliate marketer and that means your content foundation is important to your success. Have patience and spend the time and effort to create good, quality content your readers, and the search engines, will value.

#4 Get involved. Yes, you can set up an affiliate website, write a piece or two of content each week and sit back, but you may not make as much money as you want. You can also get involved in your community, participate in social networking, blog, guest blog and make sure you’re noticed. The latter is probably the best way to make a living as an affiliate.

#5 Utilize marketing strategies the pros use. Once you’re up and running, don’t be afraid to really get busy. Publish an ezine, advertise, and utilize content marketing strategies to build awareness and your bottom line.

#6 Test and track everything. As you build and grow your business, some tactics and strategies will work and others won’t. Some will help you reach your goals and others won’t. If you don’t test and track your methods and systems, how will you know what is contributing to your success and what is holding you back from achieving your goals? The answer, you won’t. Test and track everything you do online for better business building and decision making.

#7 Have a positive mindset. If you believe you can make a living as an affiliate marketer and you’re ready to put in the time and effort to make it happen, you can do it.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make a living. There’s no other way to live an ideal internet entrepreneur lifestyle. Take the time to set your business up right and the sky is the limit, all your business-building dreams can come true.

A Great Idea for a Blog is No Longer Enough!

Because there are so many blogs and web sites about blogs on the internet, it can be tough to distinguish your blogging web site from all of the others. Whether you are starting up a new web site aimed at bloggers or whether you are looking to make your existing blogging site more distinctive, the key to building and maintaining a site that will capture the interest and attention of the blogging community is finding your niche. If you can fill a unique need in a way that no other web site does, you'll be able to build a lasting readership among web surfers. Once you have discovered a niche, you will still have a lot to do, but finding your place in the blogosphere is the place to begin.

Every great blogging web site starts with a great idea, and you can't build a successful site that will last without one. There are many great sites aimed at today's bloggers, and competition for the attention of this growing demographic is fierce. To make your blogging web site stand out from the pack, you will need to offer something that no other site is currently offering, or you will need to do the same thing that an already popular site does but in a more impressive or valuable way.

One way to discover an ideal model for your blogging web site is to look at the sites that have successfully captured a blogging audience already to determine if you can appropriate some of their strategies to help realize your vision. Of course, you will also need to add a unique flair to your project in order to stand apart from your competition. Many people agree that the web sites that do the best in today's market are the sites that have the most personality. The fiercely individual surfers who are bloggers are a demographic that responds especially strongly to personality, so consider how you can give your site a unique and attractive feeling by lending your own voice and sensibility to your site's design and content.

Once you have a great idea for your site, have pinpointed a special niche that you are well equipped to fill, and have infused the site with personality, the next step is figuring out how to get the word out to bloggers. In the long run, a great idea just isn't enough to propel your blogging web site to success. You will need to draft a smart and realistic marketing plan in order to draw readers to your site. Once you hook a blogger, your great content will keep them coming back, but it is vital to get that first glance or your site won't have a chance to shine.

I have become a firm believer in the theory that doing “something” is far better than doing “nothing”. Just get started and you and your blog will develop and get better as you go along. Today is the day and now is the time. Quit stalling and start now. You will have fun with it and it will be worth it!

Why MLM Attraction Marketing Works

by Bob Howard on February 16, 2010
Article Source: http://www.bobhowardmarketing.com/why-mlm-attraction-marketing-works

The reason why attraction marketing works is because people will generally be allured, or, drawn to whatever it is that gets their attention. When marketing products, or services, to consumers, the ultimate goal is to get the items being marketed sold. The product needs to be in the mind of the consumer and stay there.

When the goods, or services are presented in an attractive way to the audience it is geared to, there is likelihood that the goods, or services, will be remembered after the fact. The image of an attractive man, or, woman presenting information on a certain brand of clothing for example, may catch the eye of some potential customers, who may then, unknowingly look for clothing in that brand.

Associating a brand with a symbol, or a character is another way of getting someone to remember the product being marketed. A young child might be watching morning cartoons, when a cereal commercial appears with a colorful cartoon character, as the central focus of the commercial. The appealing qualities of the image may get the attention of the child. The child is enticed by the commercial, and remembers the character.

The child that remembers the commercial with the cartoon character promoting the cereal may remember to ask for that cereal when at the grocery store. Or, the child may forget until seeing the character from the commercial on the box of cereal on the way down the cereal aisle. The child may then recall the character and its association with cereal and request it.

Someone marketing a product, or a service will typically be involved in some part of the process of promoting, selling, or distributing the product, or service. It is therefore important to know common things that may appeal to the group that the product is being marketed to. They may then be interested in purchasing the product being sold.

A marketing company trying to sell sailboat accessories may try to attract sail boat enthusiasts by associating their product with things or situations that would appeal to this group. Ads might be drawn that depict the open sea, perfect weather, a beautiful sailboat, or, people having a good time on the watercraft.

The product may be discreetly, or tastefully displayed somewhere in the image. For the sailboat enthusiast who remembers the advertisement perhaps the next time on a boat, or when shopping for items for the boat, the consumer might recall the association and purchase whatever brand or item that might be.

When a product is remembered by the consumer, it is more likely that when it comes time to make purchases, the item will be sought out. Why attraction marketing works is that by finding out the things that appeal to the audience, and using that knowledge. They can attract consumers based on the data they have, and associate the product being marketed with images that would appeal to that group. This is ultimately in the hopes that the item will be remembered and purchased.

Within MLM and network marketing the product or/service is leadership and training. So by giving your audience the training or know how of the business they will be attracted to you as a leader and thereby allowing you to establish a relationship with them and ultimately get them interested in your primary business. This happens over time as individuals become receptive to your suggestions as a leader. In this way even if you change your primary business these people whom you have established a relationship with will follow you when you switch business. That is the ultimate security you have as a leader using attraction marketing to draw people to you.

3 Reasons People Will Pay For Something

Written by Michael Coleman on Mar 03, 2010 12:55 PM
Original Source: http://www.betternetworker.com/articles/view/marketing/advertising/3-reasons-people-will-pay-for-something

If you’re looking to make money online, or anywhere else, you need give people what the want or need.

You need to look at what you can provide people with. Whether that be training, services, or a product that they need or want.

Why will they pay for it?

1. Because they cannot do/make it themselves. This applies to everything from cars to food to marketing and everything in between. Find out what people are having the most trouble with and offer your services to help them.

2. Because they do not want to do it themselves. There are many people that work and have businesses in the service industry providing their type of service to people that do not want to do it themselves. Especially today, when so many people are lazy and are willing to pay somebody to do their dirty work for them. Look at what people really dislike doing and offer your services to make their life easier.

3. Because people do not have the time to do it themselves. Some people are too busy to a lot of things that are necessary to keep a business running. These people are the leaders and business owners that will hire you to do the tasks that they do not have the time for. If you can provide a service to them that is up to their standards and at a price they’re willing to pay.

Step back and take a look at your own skills and how you can help people by providing your services to them. If you do not think that your skills are strong enough, look for training or a mentor that can help you improve your skill level.

Start providing people with what they need or want in regard to one of these factors. Give them great service and they will continue to come back.

Article Traffic Generation

Are you a websites owner who has been looking for ways to increase your website traffic? If so, you are definitely not alone. Each year, millions of website owners wonder why their website didn’t see more traffic. Instead of wondering, you are urged to take action. After all, there are a number of different ways that you can go about increasing the traffic that your website sees. The good news is that a number of these ways, which include article distribution, are relatively easy to implement. Despite being easy to implement, the rewards may be immeasurable.

Article distribution is an internet marketing technique that is used by many webmasters. Despite being a relativity popularity marketing tactic, there are still many webmasters who are unfamiliar with article distribution. If you are one of those business owners, you will want to read on. Taking the time to familiarize yourself with article distribution could be your best minutes ever put to use.

Article distribution involves the use of websites that are known as article directories. Article directories are websites that host a large collection of articles. To make finding and reading those articles easier, most article directories place each of their articles into categories. Popular categories include education, business, automobiles, and travel. In each article, the writer is able to create a link to one of their websites. That link is often accompanied by background information on the website in question or the webmaster. Each time one of your links is clicked, internet users will be directed to your website. This connection will increase the amount of traffic your website sees and it may also help to increase the amount of profit it generates.

Although article distribution is a nice and easy way to generate website traffic, it is one that needs to be handled properly. If not handled correctly, you may essentially end up wasting your time. The first step in using article directories to your advantage is focusing on a topic that you would like to write about. For the best success, you will want to write on a topic or an issue that is, in one way or another, related to the website readers will be directed to. Any article may increase the traffic that your website sees, but if you rely on internet sales, you will need to go a step further. For instance, if you are selling a service, such as an answering service, you may want your article to focus on the benefits of using an answering service.

Once you have determine what the main topic or focus of your articles will be, you will then need to examine how you will write them. If you find yourself having a difficult time figuring out what to write, you may want to think about creating yourself an outline. An outline will act as a guide for you. An outline will not only help you know what to write, but it will also help to ensure that you do not leave out any important information.

Once you have created yourself an outline, you can begin to start writing. When doing so, it is important that you keep your content interesting and easy to read. Be cautious of using technical words that many internet users will not understand. Although your first thought may be to create informational articles, you want to be cautious of providing too much information. You need your readers to click on your links, to get to your website. If your article is too informative, they may already have found what they needed, thus the needed for visiting your website may have been eliminated. You will want to leave your readers wanting more information.

After your article has been compiled and thoroughly proofread, you will want to submit it to the article directories of your choice. Although you might assume that your job is done after this point, it isn’t or at least it shouldn’t be. Article distribution is a great way to generate traffic, but it needs to be done on occasion. In fact, article distribution should be done on a regular basis. You may want to set a goal for yourself, like submitting at least five articles a month or even more. This will help to ensure that your readers are always given new, updated information to read and absorb. In fact, the more articles you distribute the more links you will create.

To your success,
J.B. Washburn

P.S. Article directories welcome your content with open arms. In exchange with providing them with free content, you will be getting free links to your own website; thus increasing its traffic.

J.B.'s MXM Matrix Update

If you have been in your MXM back office, you might have noticed a number of changes. There are definitely some things you should take care of RIGHT NOW if you haven’t already.
The MXM Money Card is there. You need to get your card and get it activated so you will get paid if you have people under you in the Matrix. Those of us who are employees are being paid thru the Money Card and it is working fine.
The DSG Mall is there and active and will be going through changes and additions almost every day. It is open now and will expand greatly as we migrate into the new back office.
You will also see information about vacation trips which you should take advantage of. They are not free trips but they are available for a lot less than the everyday price of these trips.
Now let’s get to some other news. The launch of the new back office is getting closer, although I can’t give you an exact date. It is being worked on practically around the clock and we are close. You may have noticed that all the “red box” people have disappeared from the Matrix. This is in preparation for the migration to the new back office. Your username will not change but your password will. You will be notified of the time of the change and your new password. Then once you login you will be able to change your password back to your choice.
We are moving to a new location even as I write this. Our new phone number is 801-877-5370 and that number is currently a working number. The old numbers will continue to work until the move is finalized later this week. Our new address will be 1815 South State Street in Orem – the building is Central Park East.
The call center will expand from 16 seats to around 150 seats with the potential for twice that many. We have hired over 20 new people in the last 2 weeks and are actively seeking pro telemarketers with lots of sales and phone experience.
We have been working on several different programs, all in an effort to get more members into the MXM Matrix. We are expanding the function of the call center as follows. As I mentioned, the “red box” people have been removed from the Matrix. As we go forward, they will be replaced with people whom we have already purchased a product or service from our expanded call center, we will then upsell them into the MXM Matrix after we have established a relationship with them and have all of their contact and personal information. We will then give them a legitimate trial period with access to their personal back office, where they can see the benefits and the programs that are available to them.
As we go forward and the call center grows, we will have the potential of hundreds, then thousands of sales to people who will then become trial members in the Matrix.
Work continues on the infomercial with filming to take place this week. After filming is completed, we will then move into the studio for editing. We have already started securing air time for the infomercial and will continue this process until we have completed the final product. We are anticipating the first release of infomercial to take place in April. We are also preparing for our presence into Japan and Australia during the month of April as well.
There is a lot to do and hundreds of details to take care of but as you can tell we are moving forward in a very large way. We know some of you have had second thought s about your position in MXM and many of you have considered dropping out, however now is the time to reaffirm your position and get everyone you know engaged and bring additional people into the Matrix. The Matrix will grow through the efforts of many, now is the time to reengage and everyone you know involved, the time is short before the Matrix explodes and we all benefit because of our patience. As my friend Alton Brown says, “Your patience WILL be rewarded!”
One last thing – we have a social site to help us educate and communicate – you can see the latest blog post and register on the site here: http://dsgsolutions.ning.com/profiles/blogs/chic-oregon-grandma-reveals When you look at these blog posts – or ANY blog post, make sure you leave a comment. This helps the blog get better ranking on Google and other ranking services.
If we can get everyone looking at the back office a couple of times a week for updates and changes, and looking at our DSG – NING site: http://dsgsolutions.ning.com a couple of times a week we can do a lot better job of keeping everyone up to date and informed!!

Thanks – J.B.

Chic Oregon Grandma Reveals Secrets of Conquering Fear of Calling Leads Through Brainwashing

Written by Lynn Jones on Feb 23, 2010 11:04 PM
Article source: http://www.betternetworker.com/articles/view/sponsoring-and-recruiting/phone-skills/chic-oregon-granmma-reveals-secrets-of-conquering-fear-of-calling-leads-thr

NO! No way! I can’t call my leads.

What would I say?

My mind might go blank!

I would probably get tongue-tied.

What if they asked a question I didn’t have the answer for?

What if they knew more than me?

I will never be able to do that!

These are thoughts that would run through my mind in the past. So many unfounded fears filled my mind. I’m sure most of you never suffered from this malady, so this is for the few shy ones out there.

In the beginning its imperative that we use our up line mentors to help us with calling our leads. Three way calling is an excellent way to get the training and learn the necessary phone skills so that we can step up to the plate and start batting on our own.

I was so comfortable allowing my mentors to call for me. They were so good at it, they knew just what to say and they said they loved to do it. There was no stress on my part, my palms didn’t get sweaty, my stomach didn’t churn…..So, why not let them, I thought, as I sat back leisurely and enjoyed my beverage of choice.

UNTIL….

I came to the stunning realization…..I could not allow this to go on. I could not stay in this infant stage any longer. How am I ever going to become any kind of leader if I can’t get past this hurdle? What was I going to do? Well, how about Grow up or Stretch myself? But I was petrified! I knew I needed to take the bull by the horns, but getting on that animal seemed a painful process.

UNTIL……

I began to brainwash myself. You can call it self talk or auto-suggestion or anything you prefer. I had learned enough about self-development and having the proper mindset on my journey to know how powerful these techniques are, and I had no other choice.

So I began to tell myself something similar to this:

“I love calling my leads! I am confident, willing, ready and excited to talk to them. I look forward to getting to know them and they will sense my genuine concern for their success. I feel comfortable and I know just the right things to say.”

At first, making the phone calls was a bit awkward. But hey, pat myself on the back…..I was actually doing it.

Then I got to feeling more comfortable. I was getting really good at leaving messages. I even got some compliments from my mentors. :)

And after a time……I did find I really was actually enjoying it.

A few basic things to help along the way:

1. Start with a script in the beginning. It helps to have something in front of you as a guideline to keep you on course.

2. Smile big and give yourself a little pep talk before you dial. :)

3. Put duct tape over your mouth to make sure you do more listening than talking.

4. Be genuinely interested in the person you are calling. Ask questions to draw them out to find out about them. Are they currently trying to build an income from home? What do they do for a living? Ask about their family. Basically, just get to know them, develop a relationship. Some people like to refer to “FORM” as a guideline in asking questions, which stands for:

F=family

O=occupation

R=recreation

M=money

5. Find out their pain…their biggest struggles. Let them know you can help them and point them in the right direction.

6. Then Follow Up. The fortune is in the follow up.

And you know, I quickly realized, the tape playing in my brain was really unfounded fears. I was dwelling on the wrong things for sure. All I needed was to erase the tape and put in a new program.

Better go now…..I have calls to make.

Easy Brainstorming

Are you an article writer? If so, how do you write your articles? Do you brainstorm? If not, you may want to think about doing so. After a close examination, you will see exactly how brainstorming can help you, when it comes to writing articles.

Before examining the benefit of using brainstorming to write articles, it is important that you first understand exactly what brainstorming is. Brainstorming is a technique that is used in many different situations, not just article writing. In most cases, brainstorming is used in problem solving. When it comes to article writing, that problem may be exactly what to write or even how to write it. The most effective way to brainstorm is to write down all of your ideas as they come to you. Whether or not you use those ideas will be completely up to you, but at least you will have them recorded on paper.

One of the hardest parts of brainstorming is coming up with ideas. If you are an article writer, you are urged to have a pen and paper handy at all times. This will be very helpful to you, as many writers develop ideas at some of the most inconvenient times. In addition to sitting down and recording ideas that you, yourself, have thought of, you can also do a little bit of research. The easiest way to do this research is online. Search engines and article directories can be your best sources of information. You should perform standard internet searches on topics that interest you or topics that you are willing to write about. Searching the internet is one of the best ways to get ideas for your articles. You can take those ideas and then brainstorm from there. In fact, you next step may want to be creating an outline for yourself. Outlines are just as beneficial to article writers as brainstorming is.

Now that you know exactly what brainstorming is, what it entails, and how to get brainstorming ideas, you may be wondering exactly why you should do it. The most obvious reason why you should use brainstorming to your advantage is to come up with ideas. There are many article writers who claim that they easily run out of ideas for new articles. With an unlimited number of topics at your fingertips, this should never happen. As an article writer, you should always have something to write about. This is where brainstorming can come in. For instance, do you know that you could take an article topic that you already used to create a brand new article? Say that you wrote an article on giving gift baskets as a wedding gift. When sitting down and thinking, or brainstorming, you may be able to get other gift basket article ideas, such as gift baskets for Christmas or even how to make your own gift baskets.

Another one of the many benefits to brainstorming is that the ideas often just keep on flowing. As it was mentioned above, if you wrote an article on gift baskets making great wedding gifts, you need to disassociate yourself from wedding gifts and just focus on gift baskets. Once you do so, it is likely that your mind will be filled with ideas. Making brainstorming as easy and as simple as it can be is one of the best ways to come up with the most ideas. And, as previously mentioned, you don’t have to come up with ideas on your own. You can use your local library, search engines, article directories, and online forums to help you brainstorm and generate ideas for your articles. In fact, the more tools that you use, the better results your brainstorming sessions may produce.

As you can see, there are a number of benefits to taking the time to brainstorm. To make brainstorming as effective as can be, you are urged to brainstorm in an area that you feel comfortable in. Whether this area is in front of your computer or outside basking in the sunshine; comfort is the key to a successful brainstorming session.

To your success,
J.B. Washburn

P.S. Although you may feel as if you have run out of articles to write, you are advised against going with your first impulse. When brainstorming, you are almost always guaranteed to come up with a whole collection of new ideas.

7 Turbo Writing Tips - You Can Be A Better Writer Sooner Than You Think!

Are you an article writer or an e-book writer? If so, how long does it take you to write? Do you wish that you could write quicker, but without having to compromise the quality of your work? If so, you can. There are a number of different methods that you can use to write quicker, while keeping the quality of your work the same or even improving it. Just a few of these methods, seven to be exact, are outlined below.

(1) Comfort – If you would like to write quicker, you need to find a setting that you feel comfortable in. In addition to actually feeling comfortable, you need to be comfortable. Whether you want to work from your bed or outdoors, you are advised to do so. You are also urged to dress comfortably. When writers are comfortable, they are able to not only work quicker, but also produce better work.

(2) Distractions – All distractions need to be eliminated. Although this may seem difficult, it doesn’t have to be. For instance, if you are a work-at-home parent, you can try sending your child to daycare, even if it is only one day a week. You can also try working during nap times or even at night, after your child has gone to sleep. The elimination of distractions is a great way to write quicker. In fact, it is also known to reduce or completely eliminate the chances of developing writers block.

(3) Typing – Do you consider yourself to be fast at typing? If you type less than fifty words per minute (wpm), you may want to think about taking a typing class. One of the many problems that e-book writers face is that their fingers don’t go as fast as their minds do. Once your typing improves to a quicker speed, you may notice a significant improvement in the amount of time that it takes you to write.

(4) Outlines – If you are an e-book writer who currently doesn’t use an outline, you may want to think about doing so. Outlines are relatively easy to develop and they have an unlimited number of benefits. One of those benefits is that you know exactly what to write and how to write it. This means that you can just focus on writing and not necessarily thinking about your next step. This, alone, can save you a considerable amount of time.

(5) Spell Check – Spell check, without a doubt, is important to any e-book. That is why it is important that you do it, but you may want to write first and spell check later. If you use a program like Microsoft Word, all of your misspelled words will be highlighted and waiting for you. For that reason you are advised to wait until the end, doing so will eliminate small breaks; breaks that may bring on a case of writers block.

(6) Proofreading – As with spell checking, proofreading is extremely important. Many e-book authors like to proofread after writing a chapter or a paragraph. If at all possible, you are urged not to do this. You may want to write now and proofread later. Once you get on a roll with writing, you may not want to stop. In the end, you may find that it results in you being able to finish your work quicker.

(7) Time – You are advised to not worry about time. Even if you are on a deadline, you are urged to take your time and not think about it. Worrying about just how much time it takes you to write will have a negative impact on your work. In fact, it is likely to result in more mistakes. Those mistakes take time to fix. If you are looking to write quicker, you should try focusing on your writing, rather than time itself. You may be surprised just how much it helps!

The above mentioned write quicker methods are just a few of the many that exist. As you likely already know, what works for someone else, might not work for you. With that in mind, you are still advised to give the above mentioned approaches a try. What do you have to loose?

To your success,
J.B. Washburn

P.S. Writing faster is a lot easier than many people think. If you put your mind to it, could you be writing faster in no time at all.

10 Steps to Success in Direct Sales

Every year thousands of men and women across America sign on with direct selling firm-Tupperware, Amway, or a cosmetic company-hoping to make money enough for new draperies, a new davenport, or some new clothes. They sell a little merchandise to a few relatives and close friends. Then they are through. They quit before they give themselves a chance to learn the basics of success in sales. "I am simply not a born salesperson," they often say.

No one is born a salesperson; any more than one is born a doctor or born a lawyer. Sales is a profession. To be successful in any profession one must learn not only the basic techniques, but also how to apply those techniques. Success in sales makes use of all the abilities one is born with, plus all those acquired through education and experience.

If you are looking for a career opportunity or "extra income" to help with the family budget, direct selling offers you dream-fulfilling possibilities. However, you must give yourself time to learn the techniques of sales. Ask yourself. "How long does a doctor study? How long does it take to be a lawyer? "

WHAT IS DIRECT SELLING?

Direct selling is marketing a product directly to the consumer with no middleman involved. Most reliable firms are members of the National Association of Direct Selling Companies. They bring to the public fine products that are modestly priced in order to insure mass consumption.

Most direct selling companies furnish their representatives with a starter kit and essential supplies below-cost prices. In many instances the investment is under $100.

There is an old adage which says "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Many of them were able to change their lives for the better. They took their families on nice vacations. They purchased a piano or an organ and provided music lessons for their children. They saved money for college education. They redecorated their homes, bought needed furniture. One highly successful saleslady built a new home.

The Rewards of Direct Selling Are Many!

1. You can be your own boss.

2. You can set your own hours.

3. You can own your own businesses with little or no investment.

4. You can pay yourself more than any boss would ever pay you.

5. You can give yourself regular raises as your business grows.

It is only fair to tell you that there are failures, too. There are people who will not work for themselves. When working for a boss, they rise early, are well-groomed, and get to the office on time. However, when they are their own boss, they are still in a bathrobe, drinking one more cup of coffee at 11:00 A.M.

If you can be your own boss and discipline yourself to do what has to be done when it has to be done, direct selling offers a most unusual earning opportunity.

THE TEN STEPS

Here are ten steps that will assure your success:

1. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm is the high-octane "fuel" that salespeople run on. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. Energy and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people who are achieving. There is a reason this is #1 on the list!

2. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for college education for your children? A new car? A new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever your goal, write it down and set a target date for reaching it. Divide the time period into blocks of achievement that are reachable. Work consistently toward accomplishing each day, each week, each month what you set out to do. Goal-setting is a must in every area of life. Little is ever accomplished without definite goals. For more help on goals, go to: http://outlawxj.blogspot.com/2010/01/key-to-successful-goal-setting...

3. BE A LIST MAKER. Each evening list all the things you want to get done the following day. Be sure to prioritize them so that the most important items are at the top of your list. That gives you an organized approach to each day. As each task is finished, mark it off your list. It is amazing how much gets done when one works with a "things-to-do" list. Also, have a notebook listing appointments, potential clients, repeat clients, and referrals, and keep it with you at all times. You will be adding to it constantly.

4. RECOGNIZE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN SALES IS "ASK." In direct sales we don't have to wait for business to come to us. We create our own business by asking for it. Ask for appointments, and then you can do business. Ask for business, and then you will close sales. Ask for referrals, and then you always have a full list of potential clients. Be quietly, yet firmly aggressive. There is a reason you hear the scripture “Ask and ye shall receive” so often.

5. EXPECT NO'S. Realize that no's are not personal. In sales, as perhaps nowhere else, the law of averages works. Every no gets you closer to a yes. Keep track of your ratio. It will help improve your techniques. Are you getting ten no's to one yes? Is your ratio five to one? Remember, the yes's are your income. Also remember that "no" does not necessarily mean "no." Often a "no" is simply a stall for more time to think. It may be a request for more information about your product or your service. What your client is actually buying is assurance. Assure here by your helpful attitude and your complete honesty, that you want what is best for her. She will most likely respect you and do business with you. Always
remember: Many, many sales are made after the prospect has said “no” several times.

6. SCHEDULE TIME WISELY. A schedule is the roadmap by which salespeople travel. It takes the frustration out of the day. It assures that the necessary things get done and get done on time. Plan your work then work your plan.

7. BE POSITIVE IN YOUR ATTITUDE. My shirt has “Attitude is Everything” stitched on it! Success in sales, as in all areas of life is 90 percent attitude and 10 percent aptitude. All of us must work at developing habits of constructive thinking. I am proud to be a salesperson. Sales make the wheels of our economy turn. Bernard Baruch, advisor
to several presidents, is quoted as saying, "If every salesperson sat down and took no orders for twenty-four hours, it would bankrupt our country!" Every company that manufactures any kind of product depends upon salespeople to move that product. Without salespeople
business would be paralyzed.

Remember, sales is one of the highest paid of all professions. Statistics show that good salespeople enjoy incomes far above the average.

8. HAVE AN OFFICE AREA. Most direct salespeople work from their own homes, but it is essential to have a place where you can work in an organized and efficient manner. An office plus a strict working schedule gives you dignity. Both are absolutely essential for efficient operation and accurate record keeping, so important to the success of any business.

9. BE INVOLVED. Most sales organization offer contests to stimulate production. Include winning contests as part of your business goals. Contests make your business fun as well as adding considerable dollar value to your income.

10. LEARN TO HANDLE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY. A regular nine-to-five job usually means a paycheck at the end of the second week. Direct sales "reps" handle money constantly. Direct sales is instant income and constant income. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to become an efficient money manager.

Deposit every penny collected from clients into a checking account set up especially for its business. Since bank statements show an exact record of all monies collected, and business expenses can be verified by canceled checks, record keeping becomes simple and accurate. Everything except a few "petty cash" ransactions can be directly taken from bank statements.

Money saved regularly and put at interest, soon develops a second income in addition to earned income. A long-term goal, which is realistic in direct sales, is to be able to live in retirement off the interest earned on savings.

Would financial security mean a lot to you? If so, ask yourself these questions:

* Am I honest?

* Do I really like people?

* Am I willing to learn?

* Am I willing to work?

* Am I motivated?

* Am I a good self-starter?

* Am I capable of being my own boss?

If your answers are yes, to find a good product for the direct sales market, one that you like, one that fills the need of a lot of people, and go to work for yourself! You can turn dreams into reality.

What is Multi-Level Marketing?

Multi-level marketing is sometimes known as network marketing and is often abbreviated as MLM. This is a kind of business where franchising and direct selling are combined. This business makes a person associated to a company in an independent transaction approach. It is an approach where the company creates a contactor relationship to the person who wants to expand his business.

The members make their earnings based on the sales they have reached in that particular product or service. It also includes the sales of the person that they have recruited to join the business. Most of the time the individual who has recruited more members and provided a good sales output on the product compensate higher because of the effort to transact in two different fields.

There are “pyramid schemes” or Ponzi schemes, which are considered illegal. Most people associate multi-level marketing to these kinds of schemes because they also recognize themselves to be a legitimate networking business. Because of the bad image brought up by these schemes, many prefer to use their names for their businesses as “home based business franchising” or “affiliate marketing”.

Commissions are earned in the process of selling a particular product or service in a legitimate network marketing. There can be no earnings in what they call as a “sign up fee” or for just recruiting yourself alone. This kind of marketing is always criticized because of the questionable recruitment process where they get their revenue and profit. They get their sales from members and new members, which are considered the end users of the product and as the distributors.

These criticisms led to the major changes in the multi-level marketing in the early 1980s when many companies have started to allow their members to concentrate only on marketing and not on distributing or stocking the product. Most multi level marketing firms nowadays perform as fulfillment firms by taking the tasks of shipping the product, paying the commissions and taking orders from their clients.

Another change that has taken place is “selling” or “re-selling” of products. Most multi-level marketing companies now are based on “consumption” of the products rather than “selling” them. As a result, old time things like a garage full of products you can’t sell are for the most part a thing of the past.

If you still don’t understand multi-level marketing, or you understand it but don’t believe in it, think about this. When you go to the grocery store and buy a gallon of milk, you are participating in a multi-level marketing system. At the top is the farmer who has the cows. The next level is delivering the milk to the processor. Then you have the processor and those who get it to the distributors. Then the distributors deliver the milk to the grocery store where you, the consumer, make the purchase. That is at least 6-7 levels and they all make money on that gallon of milk except you, the final consumer.

There are thousands of products sold through multi-level marketing and there are some 2 million multi-level marketing companies doing many millions of dollars’ worth of business. They are a great tool to start your home based business if that is your goal.

Affiliate Marketing and Home Based Businesses

Many of us dream of being our own bosses. The lure of big money and flexible work hours is quite attractive. However, many are afraid to venture out on their own. They fear that they do not have the capital required to get a business started or they don’t want to loose the security of their day job.

The solution could be starting a home business. The truth of the matter is that you can start your home business with no money at all. Ask yourself this, do you have a spare room or space in your house. Do you have a computer with an internet connection? Do you have a phone line? If you have these three things you have the essentials of an office from which your home business can be made. If you are really new to all this, you might consider an actual work-at-home job to get you started. If you want to look, you could go to workathome.mymxm.net – that is just one example and there are many.

Affiliate marketing can be another great way for you to get started in your home business. Affiliate marketing will provide you with the opportunity to sell either a product or a service. With low capital and little space you may want to concentrate on services.

Once you have made the decision, you need to evaluate your skills. What services can you offer and what skills can you bring? Many people start of with affiliate marketing programs from major search engines. If you’re good at website design, you could register your page with someone such as yahoo publisher. This way your site will get traffic with the help of the search engine Yahoo. If yours is a sales website, your traffic could translate into increased sales. The more exposure to your site the better.

The other thing you can try to do is attract traffic to other sites. Retail sites such as Amazon and EBay have affiliate marketing programs. If you can generate traffic and increase sales then you make money. Both programs offer ways to increase revenues through links and blogs. These are usually free and worth using. Remember, the more you make the more they make. Just google – free affiliate programs – you will find there are a lot of opportunities.

Finally, your site can make money in another way. When it is posted on sites such as yahoo publisher or Google ad sense, there will be ads placed. Whenever a visitor clicks on an ad you make money. The more clicks the more cash. The operators take care of all the advertising costs and placement. They also try to place appropriate ads to your page. If you’re selling rare books ads for fish food are not likely going to get clicked.

If you want to start working for yourself but feel you don’t have the money then you’re wrong. If you have a computer and space to put it then you have all you need. You can also start you home business and work it around your job. You can gradually commit more time as your home business grows.

If you’re tired of your job and really want to work for yourself then stop making excuses and do it. Though work-at-home programs, affiliate marketing programs and selling services you will find that having your home business is easier than you think. All it takes is time and a commitment to succeed. Don’t Wait For New Year’s Eve To Set Life-Changing Goals!

We all know the tradition. When January 31st rolls around, everyone decides that THIS year will be the year that they stick to their resolutions. Whether it’s to finally win the battle against weight gain, go back to school and earn that degree or finally quit that boring 9-5 job, we’re all guilty of setting these life-changing goals, only to give them up by the time February 1st shows up on the calendars.

However, you don’t need to wait until New Year’s Eve in order to set the kind of goals that can change your life forever; in fact, while you’re reading this article, you can make the conscious choice to make a change now. We’ve got the best tips and techniques on how you can stick to your goals, no matter how challenging they may seem – so by the time New Years comes around again, you’ll already have achieved your previous resolutions!

Plan Out Your Goals. No one sets their resolutions with the expectation that they’re going to fail; if that was the case, why bother setting a goal at all? However, many people fail to plan out exactly what they intend to do to achieve their goals. Set aside time to really devote yourself to your desired goals: what are you willing to do to achieve them? What changes are you going to have to make? What will you do each week, day or month in order to reach your goals?

Make Sure It’s What You Really Want. Many people want to lose extra weight or earn buckets of money; however, these aren’t realistic goals, but rather normal fantasies that the average person dreams about. For some, the desire to lose weight or make more money isn’t strong enough to actually warrant any action. Make sure that you really want your goal before devoting time to planning for it. If you’re not invested in reaching your goal, you’ll give up faster than you can say “Happy New Year”.

Be Held Accountable. Want a surefire way to make sure that you stick to your goals? Tell a friend or a loved one about your goal and enlist their support to help you achieve it. For example, if you want to attend the gym three times a week, have a friend go with you for that extra boost. If you know that other people are keeping track of you, you’ll be more likely to stick to your plan and attain that goal!

Give Yourself Rewards. Positive reinforcement is often one of the most powerful motivational tools that you can use to achieve your goal. If you want to lose five pounds, give yourself a small treat for every pound that you lose. Buy a great new outfit or treat yourself to a movie; whatever the reward may be, it will give you an extra motivational boost in reaching your desired goal.

Sticking to your goals doesn’t have to be difficult; in fact, if you use these tips and tricks, you’ll find it incredibly simple to achieve your desired goal, no matter what it may be. So don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to set those life-changing resolutions – make the decision to start down the path towards your dream goals right now!

The Key To Successful Goal Setting Is To Be S.M.A.R.T.

It seems like the first thing anyone will tell you about being successful is to focus on successful goal setting. But when you’re not exactly sure what kind of goals you should be setting, it can be a challenge to know what you need in order to succeed in both your professional and personal life. Sure, it’d be nice to tell yourself that you’ll become extremely wealthy, retire early from your job and then travel the world; after all, many people are successful because they dream big! But these kinds of goals will psychologically set you up for failure, because – at first - they can’t be realistically attained, which will make you feel like an absolute failure. So where should you begin to avoid this pitfall? The key is to think S.M.A.R.T:

Specific – Goals that are specific are much more productive that general goals, as they give you a concrete direction in which to take your personal and professional life. For example, if you want to earn $100,000 in sales during your first year of opening that home based business you’ve always dreamed about, you’d have a better chance at success by setting up tangible ways to get there – such as developing effective marketing schemes or expanding your clientele base – as opposed to just expecting to make that money.

Measurable – Whether you’re setting a goal to lose those last few pounds or build that successful online home based business, you’re going to need those goals to be measurable. So what does it mean to set measurable goals? Simple: a measurable goal is one that can be tracked throughout your progress. For example, by setting a measurable goal of losing five pounds within a month, you can keep track each week of the progress you’re making towards the fulfillment of your desired outcome.

Attainable – In order to succeed, you’ll need to be able to establish goals that you can realistically reach. When you reach these goals, your confidence and self-image will flourish, which in term will have a direct impact on your own professional and personal life.

Realistic – This is similar to attainable goals. For example, if you are building that home based business, a realistic goal might be to increase profits by 25% in the 2nd quarter, or simply gain a certain number of new clients. However, an unrealistic goal might be expecting to earn several millions of dollars in your first year of operation. Dream big, but be reasonable - this is an easy way to set yourself up for failure!

Timely – A time frame will tie in all of these factors together, and make it easier to track the progress of your goals. Don’t use “someday” for a time line; instead, set concrete deadlines, such as “By December 1st, I will save up $600 towards my dream trip to Australia”. See how motivating this can be?

In the end, only you will know what kind of goals you’ll need to set in order to succeed. But if you get stuck trying to come up with goals that make sense for you, just remember to think S.M.A.R.T!

Make 2010 Your Best Year Ever!

January 15th, 2010 | Author: Mavis Nong
Original Post: http://www.attractionmarketingonline.com/how-to-make-2010-your-best-year-ever/

The new year has arrived - a clean slate and a new start… This is an opportunity for many people to step back from their businesses and take a good look at what is working, what is not working and where do they want to go. So, are you ready to make 2010 your breakout year ever and explode your bank account?

I’m going to share with you the strategies and a roadmap to use for setting your goals and creating your vision. I learned these on a training call with one of my personal mentors, Norbert Orlewicz, a true leader, coach, visionary and a very successful network marketer. These strategies work as Norbert used them to build his 7-figure business in just a couple of years, after struggling in network marketing for 6 years!

A fact is, success doesn’t happen by accident and you can’t simply sit back and wish for it to happen. I often hear aspiring network marketers say: “I hope this works for me”. The truth is, it probably wont, because if you’re hoping something will work for you, you’re leaving it up to some chance or “magic” to become successful. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen :-(

Setting goals is the key to your success. Period. And there is a lot more that goes into achieving your goals than just writing them on a piece of paper.

Here are the strategies:

1. Creating A Vision In 2010

This is more than just setting your goals and it’s very important as it will determine your success. You need to get connected to your ‘WHY’ and keep reminding yourself WHY you are doing what you’re doing. This is your vision, misson and driving force. If your ‘WHY’ is big enough, then you’ll figure out the ‘HOW’.

In network marketing, just like in any other industry, you’ll encounter obstacles and challenges and you would have to embrace that if you want to be successful. So, if your WHY is not big enough, then you’ll feel sorry for yourself, crumble and go back to your comfort zone. “Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom” ~ Jim Rohn

2. Begin With Where You’re At

This is when you review and reflect on the previous year to see what has worked, what didn’t, what were your successes, failures, good and bad decisions. It’s very important that you do this and think about how you can improve.

You also need to begin in gratitude. And this can be a challenge if things are not going well in your business – you may be frustrated, stressed and desperate to see your desired results. So, when you’re setting your goals in that state, you’re in a place of need and desperation. And that’s not a great place to be in if you want to create abundance. You must practice living in abundance. You have to decide in your mind that you’re successful and do the things that successful people do.

3. Design Your Life

Goal-setting is important for every aspect of your life, not only for your business – relationships, family, emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, career and financial. So, you need to set goals and create a vision for your entire life. Think about the things that you want to achieve in life and focus on them. In my experience, they will be on your mind all the time. The key to having success in your life and in your business, is to know exactly what you want and stick to it. Many people try different opportunities, ideas and systems and quit when things don’t work out.

4. Work On Yourself

Most people work on their goals and successful people work on themselves. You see a goal is an effect and the cause is YOU. The issue is not your debts, your marriage, your business and so on, the issue is YOU. You must work harder on YOURSELF through personal development, than on your business. Ask yourself: “What do I have to BECOME to achieve my goals?” So, you need to focus on improving yourself, your attitude and skills and everything else in your life will improve.

5. Visualization

Do you visualize the things that you want in life? Make this a part of your life, create images of what you want to achieve and think about them all the time. Begin to act as if you already have what you want. Start acting like you’re already successful, then your daily activities will show that you are.

6. Take Massive Action

For every goal that you have set, you need to have clear action steps with deadlines. You need to implement right away, build a momentum and have a sense of urgency in what you do. Do you have the burning desire to succeed? “If you greatly desire something, have the guts to stake everything on obtaining it”. ~ Brendan Francis

These strategies will change your life and business in ways you could never imagine!

Discover the Four Secrets of Successful Goal Setting

We’ve all been at a point in our lives where setting realistic and attainable goals has been absolutely vital to reaching a desired outcome. Whether you’re looking to make a change in your professional or personal life, successful goal setting is all about identifying your key strengths and using them to your advantage. However, unless you’ve got a knack for effective goal setting, everyone could use a refresher course on how to develop and implement a smart and effective system that keeps you and your goals directly in the driver’s seat. No matter how big your goal is or how long it will take to reach it, you’ll need these four secrets to help you create the ultimate plan that will see you finally reaching your goals:

Write Them Down. Goals are easy to ignore if they’re cluttered in the back of your mind along with your grocery shopping list and looming office deadlines. However, once you write your goals down, you’ll continually be reminded of your commitment towards achieving them. Many people need the daily motivation that a simple reminder can provide; take advantage of this small step that reaps significant outcomes. Remember a couple of details: writing them down and hiding them in a drawer won’t help! They need to be where you can see them. Also, make your goals specific to the things you are trying to accomplish. If you are building an online home based business or a work from home business, make your little goals and your long term goals specific to your plans.

Practice Makes Perfect. You’ve probably heard this expression about a million times, but it still rings true, even when it comes to successful goal-setting: the more goals you set and reach, the more likely it is that you’ll achieve any long-term goals. Balance out any long-term goals with a few short-term ones; this will help you practice effective goal setting, which will be a useful skill you can use in both your professional and personal life. Additionally, reaching short-term goals can provide a much-needed ego boost that long-term goals rarely provide.

Make Your Goals Realistic. Sure, we’d all like to be famous rock stars or earn millions of dollars a year; but unless you’re the best guitar player the world has ever seen or have an innovative business idea, these goals are unlikely to be accomplished. Experts agree that unrealistic goals only encourage feelings of failure and discouragement, which is detrimental to any goals that you may consider setting in the future. Instead, make sure that your goals are realistic and attainable. Don’t forget to set up a realistic timeframe for accomplishing your desired goals – this will help you stay on track while keeping yourself accountable.

Give Yourself Rewards. The sense of accomplishment you’ll achieve when you finally reach your goal is a great reward; yet what about the milestones that you reach along the way? Reward yourself for making such great progress; for example, if you’re looking to land yourself a promotion at work, treat yourself to a massage after a week of late nights in the office. You’ll burn out less quickly – and that’s crucial when attempting to achieve a long-term goal!

It’s no secret that effective goal setting is the key to reaching both professional and personal dreams – and these four strategies are crucial to the success of any goals that you may have for your own life. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to finally achieve those goals you’ve always desired to reach!

The Top 1 Percent

by Steve Pohlit

Link to Original post: http://stevereports.com/2009/12/the-top-1-percent/

The Top 1% (one percent) is not a measurement and comparison of wealth or ability. The Top 1% is a mindset. The mindset that you can and will achieve the goals you set for yourself. This mindset includes a bias for action. Action taken to follow a clear roadmap. Clear goals, a bias for action and a Top 1% mindset will result in you experiencing success way beyond what the general population or “the herd” can even imagine.

The idea of the Top 1% is primarily discussed in reference to the development of business revenue and profits. If you pay attention to the Top 1%, you will see a balance in the areas health and relationships. It may seem obvious, but if your health fails monetary success is meaningless. Valuable business coaching and self development programs provide guidance on balance.

Attributes of the Top 1%

There are no common traits. The Top 1% includes men, women, all nationalities, all age groups all professions. The one common attribute is mindset. The Top 1% has a dream and they take action in a rational way that brings the intended results.

I have worked with very large companies and smaller ones. These experiences have given me the opportunity to evaluate the difference between eagles and ducks. Of course eagles soar and ducks waddle and quack. Eagles have a laser beam focus on those elements of their business that make the most difference. They avoid flying into the side of a cliff.

The Top 1% invest in self development. J.T. Foxx, a successful entrepreneur, radio host in 18 markets, and author tells his audiences he invested $60,000 in business coaching and consulting for himself in 2009. He has budgeted $100,000 in 2010 for business coaching and consulting. He is also investing in focused training and development program for his organization.

J.T. openly discusses his vision and goal of creating a $100 million coaching and consulting company. I know he will and that goal is likely to be achieved within the next 12-18 months. Note the mindset. Less than five years ago J.T. was homeless and he just turned 30.

Sending you energy of health, happiness, prosperity
